The DAPPRA DR Series is a classic step-shape DIN rail power supply series with plastic housing, widely used in building automation and household control systems due to its Class II isolation level.
Covering 15W to 120W with 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V and 48V outputs, the DR Series combines compact footprint, universal AC input and fanless natural convection cooling. The DR-15 / 30 / 60 / 100 models are Class II double insulated — no grounding connection required.

DR Series Overview
The DAPPRA DR Series is the classic step-shape plastic-housing DIN rail power supply series. It covers seven power ratings — 15W, 30W, 45W, 60W, 75W, 100W and 120W — with single-output configurations of 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V and 48V DC.
Models DR-15, DR-30, DR-60 and DR-100 are Class II double insulated, meaning they require no grounding connection and are ideal for building automation and household control applications. Models DR-45, DR-75 and DR-120 are General Type with FG/PE terminal for standard industrial control equipment. All models are designed for standard TS35/7.5 or TS35/15 DIN rail mounting.

The DR Series supports DIN rail mounting with specific ventilation clearance and orientation requirements for reliable operation.

Mounting Orientation
DR-15: input terminals at the bottom, output at the top. DR-30 / 60 / 100: input terminals on the right, output on the left. DR-75 / 120: input terminals at the bottom, output at the top. Other orientations are not allowed.

Ventilation Clearance
Always allow good ventilation clearances around the unit: 5 mm left and right, 40 mm above and 20 mm below, to prevent overheating. When the adjacent device is a heat source, keep 10–15 cm clearance.

TS35 DIN Rail Mounting
Admissible DIN rail: TS35/7.5 or TS35/15. Tilt the unit slightly rearwards, fit over the top hat rail, slide it downward until it hits the stop, press against the bottom for locking, then shake slightly to check the locking action.

Class II — No Grounding Required
DR-15 / 30 / 60 / 100 are Class II double insulated and require no grounding connection. DR-45 / 75 / 120 have FG terminal and must be connected to PE (Protective Earth).

Operating Temperature Limits
Maximum operating temperature: 50°C for DR-15 / DR-30; 40°C for DR-60 / DR-100; 45°C for DR-45 and DR-120-24/48; 35°C for DR-120-12; 38°C for DR-75-12. Do not install near fire sources or high ambient temperature locations.

Pollution Degree 2 Environment
Install the unit only in a pollution degree 2 environment — typically dry, well-ventilated locations such as control cabinets. Do not install in places with high moisture or near water.
The DR Series operates with free air convection cooling and requires adequate ventilation clearance. Do not install in orientations other than the recommended mounting position for each model.

Note: The DR-120 TB2 pin order is +V first, -V second — opposite to DR-45.
The FG pin on General Type models (DR-45 / 75 / 120) must be connected to PE (Protective Earth). Both -V pins and both +V pins should be connected to their respective output wires to prevent excessive current stress on a single contact.

Use stranded copper wire only. Current each wire carries should be de-rated to 80% of the current suggested above when using 5 or more wires connected to the unit. Use wires that can withstand temperatures of at least 80°C, such as UL1007. Maximum allowable wire cross-section for DR-45 terminal is 12AWG / 2.5 mm².

Maximum number of DR PSUs that can be connected to a circuit breaker at 230V. For continued protection against risk of fire, replace only with the same type and rating of fuse.
DC Output Voltage Adjustment
All DR models include a front-panel DC output voltage adjustment potentiometer (+V ADJ) and a LED indicator for power on. The rated output voltage can be adjusted within the voltage adjustment range specified for each model. Output current and output wattage must not exceed the rated value on its specification.
The actual wiring should follow the wiring diagram provided in the DR Series installation manual. Use copper wire only and ensure all strands enter the terminal connection securely.

DR Series Safety & Cautions
Read and follow all safety instructions before installing, wiring, maintaining or modifying the DR Series power supply.
- Risk of electrical shock and energy hazard. All failure should be examined by a qualified technician. Do not remove the case of the power supply yourself.
- Connecting both the primary and the secondary sides together is not allowed — risk of electric arcs and electric shock (danger to life).
- Risk of burn hazard. Do not touch the unit in operation and shortly after disconnection.
- Risk of fire and short circuit. The openings should be protected from foreign objects or dripping liquids.
- The FG terminal on General Type models (DR-45 / 75 / 120) must be connected to PE (Protective Earth).
- Output current and output wattage must not exceed the rated value on its specification.
- Before commencing any installation, maintenance or modification work, disconnect the system from supply voltage. Make sure that inadvertent connection in circuit will be impossible.
- For continued protection against risk of fire, replace only with the same type and rating of fuse.
Note: Pollution Degree 2 applies where there is only non-conductive pollution that might temporarily become conductive due to occasional condensation. Generally refers to dry, well-ventilated locations, such as control cabinets.
