The DAPPRA DPR Series is a general-purpose Industrial Area Sensor and Safety Light Curtain series designed for industrial automation, machine detection, machine protection, personnel protection and area detection applications.

The DPR Series uses Multiple Parallel Beam Through-Beam Detection Technology with separate emitter and receiver units. Multiple optical-axis pitch and beam-count configurations are available for different sensing and protection-height requirements.

Wiring Principle

DPR Series Wiring Principle

The DPR Series supports both NPN and PNP output wiring configurations. Select the wiring method according to the output type of the selected model.

NPN Output Wiring

The NPN output switches the signal line to 0 V (GND) when the optical beam is interrupted. Connect the receiver output to the PLC or controller input configured for NPN (sinking) input, and connect the emitter and receiver to 24 VDC according to the wiring diagram below.

PNP Output Wiring

The PNP output switches the signal line to +24 V when the optical beam is interrupted. Connect the receiver output to the PLC or controller input configured for PNP (sourcing) input, and connect the emitter and receiver to 24 VDC according to the wiring diagram below.

The actual wiring should follow the wiring diagram provided for the selected DPR model.
